The House FXBG

A shared Episcopal and Lutheran church ministry. They are committed to making The House a place where college students and young adults can be themselves, fully. They believe that the diversity of humanity--of race, nationality, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity, ability, and age-- are all illustrative of the image of God (imago Dei) each one of us is made in. They acknowledge that religious affiliation and Christian identity and belief are complicated in 21st century America amidst increasing political and social polarization. They hold space believers, skeptics, and unbelievers alike and are a non-judgmental space for the exploration of faith.

Legal Aid Works (LAW)

Legal Aid Works is a non-profit corporation that provides free, high-quality, civil legal assistance to low income individuals and families. They have three offices located in Fredericksburg, Tappahannock, and Culpeper to better serve area residents. Unlike the constitutional guarantee for legal representation in criminal proceedings, domestic violence victims seeking protective orders, veterans looking to secure their benefits and poor families trying to stay housed do not have the same representation when going up against their abuser, the government or their landlord. At Legal Aid Works, they champion fairness for those with the least access to the civil justice system and do so across 17 of the most vulnerable counties in the state of Virginia.
